Here are a few recent photos of Plum Garland Playground which was designed by Jeavons Landscape Architects for the City of Port Phillip . Since construction in late 2012, the playground has proven to be a popular play and meeting place.
The design provides a contained, complex and inclusive play environment with a wide range of play equipment; seating options; and interactive sand and water play in a very natural setting. The design is loosely based on an interpretation of the habitat of the Rakali – a small coastal mammal that lives in the sand dunes along the Port Phillip Bay coastline.
Much of the coastal planting is doing well to establish itself on this difficult, salt laden site.
