The Herald Sun newspaper organised a survey of parents to discover Melbourne’s Top 25 Playgrounds.
Jeavons Landscape Architects designed or had involvement in 6 out of the 25 favourite playgrounds!
Playgrounds within the Top 25 include:
Bicentennial Park
Location: Scotch Parade, Chelsea
Highlights: giant slides, Liberty Swing, spinning bird’s nest swing, fenced, close to skate park, spinning Supernova.

Ruffey Lake Park – Victoria Street Adventure Playground
Location: Victoria Street, Doncaster
Highlights: wooden adventure playground, giant slide, shade sails, long flying foxes.
Credits: Jeavons designed and documented this project in collaboration with Paul Gardiner Architects .
St.Kilda Adventure Playground
Location: Off Neptune Street, St. Kilda
Highlights: treehouse, aeroplane, pirate ship, castle, in-ground trampoline, ball courts, fenced. This is a supervised playspace.
Credits: Jeavons designed the refurbished play structures for the City of Port Phillip .
Alma Park Adventure Playground
Location: Alma Road, St. Kilda East
Highlights: wheelchair accessible cubby, long flying fox.
Hays Paddock
Location: Longstaff Street, Kew East
Highlights: all abilities, awesome sandpit, butterfly shade sail, spinning Supernova, fenced, next to ovals.
Credits: Jeavons designed the butterfly shade sail at this playspace.
Roy Dore Reserve
Location: Dyson Road, Carrum
Highlights: wooden pirate ship, spinning Supernova, shade sails, next to tennis wall and oval.
Credits: Jeavons designed this space for the City of Kingston. The playspace was built by Allplay Equipmen t and Urban Plumb & Scape Pty. The project was managed by City of Kingston .
