Haileybury City Campus has recently opened a vertical school on King St in Melbourne’s CBD.
Jeavons Landscape Architects has designed and documented the rooftop outdoor play space for the Early Learning Centre for students to learn, create and explore. The project was constructed by Melbourne Landscape Company .
Main features of the play space design include a natural feel play space, planting, dry creek bed, vegetable gardens, sand play area, extensive shade and multi-purpose spaces.
Jeavons worked closely with the project Architects and Engineers to develop creative solutions to deal with structural weight loading as well as wind exposure on site.
Stage Two of the outdoor play space is currently being constructed.
