We are proud that our Associate, Bruce Grillmeier, has both written the foreword and edited the publication “Outdoor Play Spaces for Children”.
This publication demonstrates a wide variety of design responses to the challenge of providing outdoor play opportunities for children and families. Many examples show great complexity and clever solutions, demonstrating that designers are incorporating the large volume of research into the field of play to help them create spaces that cater well for children’s needs.
“The book showcases an international range of projects divided into three major case study themes: play spaces in parks, communities and schools, with each case study illuminated by informative narrative text descriptions, and accompanied by rich, full-color photography, detailed diagrams and illustrations.”
