What are design development drawings?
Design Development plans are detailed drawings and schedules used for the confirmation of all details with a client and for coordination between all other consultants and services, such as civil engineering/drainage, electrical, and structural engineering.
What is the purpose of design development drawings by a landscape consultant?
This set of drawings is used to confirm materials and finishes, resolution of design and construction issues, coordination with other sub-consultants regarding the final location of all physical elements and services, refinement of the budget, site levels, and any other issue that needs to be clarified and resolved. The work of specialist sub-contractors such as artists or play equipment manufacturers is incorporated at this stage.
